The Natural Dog Food Company range is 100% natural and free of artificial additives such colours, flavours, preservatives and artificial vitamins and minerals. Free of GM ingredients and hypoallergenic, it avoidd the common problem ingredients such as wheat gluten, wheat, maize (corn), soya or dairy products. This product is certified holistic dog food. The product contains "fresh" lamb with which you must remember that water is lost during the processing stage. However, this product still scores highly when it comes to meat content as it also contains lamb meat meal. The total meat content in the finished product is approximately 30% when combining the fresh + meat which is a very high when compared to the rest of the industry. Looking down the rest of the ingredients listing doesn't cause any concern, with rice and oats providing the main carbohyrdate sources (energy!). It's a good combination as oats provide a slow release of energy.

The typical Linoleic acid content is 3.3% which is way above the normal level for a complete dog food - this is at a better level than James Wellbeloved and about the same as Arden Grange. (Although lower than Symply). Linoleic acid content is crucial for good skin and coat condition and always something to look out for when choosing a dog food.
